Our skin is the largest organ of our body.  Our skin visibly lets us know when our body is not healthy, when we are exposed to harmful chemicals, when we make poor diet choices and so much more.  How does our skin let us know?  Some examples would be: People with liver issues get jaundice (yellowing/graying of the skin).  High levels of acid and/or bacteria in our body causes acne outbreaks.  High exposure to chemicals can cause lesions and sores on skin. Dehydrated skin causes wrinkles and sagging.

Our body is roughly 65-70% water.  Every cell in our body requires water/hydration to maintain proper function.  Our skin cells are responsible for producing collagen and elastin, which is the structure of the skin that maintains both elasticity and firmness, keeping us looking youthful and vibrant.  Without water, our skin cells cannot function properly and eventually dry up and die off, leaving us looking weathered with premature aging.

We all spend so much time and money in search of the best creams on the market to helps our skin have that full bouncy effect, when the secret to having firm & radiant skin starts from the inside out.  If you drink at least 8 – 8oz glasses of high-quality chemical-free water everyday, you will start to see your skin bounce back with that beautiful plump look you had in your youth.  You will soon notice the texture of your skin improve.  Even our lips will be less flat and become fuller, as our skin cells plump up with hydration.

I personally make it a point to drink half a gallon to one gallon of water every day, drinking 50% of our Aqua Bella Alkaline Water and 50% of our Ultra Purified Water, and have been able to maintain healthy vibrant skin without spending a lot of money on expensive creams.  As a matter of fact, I have experienced a wide-range of benefits from Aqua Bella Alkaline Water since adding it to my daily water regimen. (Example: if you drink 8-8oz glasses of water per day, drink 4 glasses of Aqua Bella, 4 of our Ultra Purified).  People often ask me what I use for skincare, and the truth is, I use a wide-range of products like Oil of Olay, Shiseido, and many others, depending what’s on sale or what my sister gives me.  I use Aveeno face wash and always use a washcloth as well, to ensure my face is clean and it helps to sluff off any dead skin.  I have to say, that regardless of how I care for my skin or what I use topically, it would have little or no benefit if I was not caring for my skin from the inside out with our high-quality chemical & plastic-free water.

Challenge yourself to drinking at least half a gallon of water a day and you will see within a short period of time that you too will be getting compliments on your skin!  If drinking this much water is too difficult for you, our Aqua Bella Alkaline Water is ultra hydrating, so you can get the necessary hydration even with drinking less water.  Another added benefit to getting on a daily water regimen is, you will feel less hungry and be less inclined to eat large portions or snack as much.  It’s a win/win!…you’ll have a leaner body to go along with your radiant skin!

If you have a tough time gauging how much water you are drinking a day, I recommend using 2 half gallon or 2  1-gallon BPA-free water bottles to start off your day each morning and drink from these throughout your day.  I’ll use two different colored bottles, so I know which is Alkaline and which is Ultra Purified.  We carry these bottles in a wide-range of colors, so if you you have several members of the same household, you’ll easily be able to keep track of which bottle belongs to each person as well. If you already have a favorite bottle you use, then great…no better time to get started on your water goals than now!

You can do this!  Cheers to the best, most beautiful you!

We look forward to seeing you soon,

Lauren
